ELEVATION

Elevation is one of our prettiest films. It's mostly Ben's creation, but I helped out a lot with the makeup, outfits, and some locations. (The whole red dress in the wheat field was my idea, inspired by a film I saw when I was little, called The Reflecting Skin. It was full of beautiful, desolate imagery.

Ben would say that Elevation is an experiment, which is what it started out as. We wanted to see if we could have our actors move like monsters did in recent horror films and the videogame Silent Hill...and a couple of Marilyn Manson videos. He began drawing storyboards and soon this story of death, lonliness and alternate dimensions emerged. Ben can call it an experiement all he wants - I think its nothing more then a very simple love story.
